I work with a pen, lens, spade and mouse with equal happiness.  I studied at the Oxford College of Garden Design and I am a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers.  My background in photography and portraiture brings a visual awareness to how I design and 10 years of horticultural practice gives practical and pragmatic expertise.  In my residential, public realm and commercial projects I aim to work sustainably  to deliver beautiful landscapes and gardens that do not cost the earth. I approach all of our projects from city courtyards,  school and playground transformations to community gardens with a nature led design goal. This includes mindful practice for reducing waste during construction and maximum environmental benefit for increased biodiversity and long term sustainable solutions with to reduce carbon impact. People, planet and plants are at the core of my practice. I also have a foundation in Art Therapy and believe that our environment visual and physical has a huge impact on our well-being and the benefits of beauty and nature should be a basic human right.  Green spaces for all. I love the challenge of creating layered landscapes that includes thinking about permaculture, agroforestry and endimentals.  This nature led approach creates environments that can feed us literally and metaphorically and restore us physically and mentally as well as being sensitive to the needs of birds, insects, invertebrates and mammals.  I always feel honoured when we run community events that nature brings joy to others and working together can make positive change happen.  I feel lucky that we can stay connected to the communities that use our spaces.  It is true that gardens are never finished and they need stewardship, care and nurture as do people.  Our shared landscapes should be an ongoing journey for people and nature hand in hand.
