Candida is a coach, facilitator, somatic movement practitioner, forest bathing guide and social entrepreneur.
For over 30 years she has been a certified coach where she works in an organic and emergent fashion based on the way the client wants to work: bringing in embodied presence, somatic awareness, NLP and other creative forms. She takes an ecological stance.
She has been a somatic movement practitioner for over 30 years as well, practising connection with the natural world. Over time, the practice uses movement as a non-judgemental way of exploring our lives and relationship to ourselves, our bodies, others and our environment.
Forest Bathing is a series of invitations to experience connection with nature through our senses, slowing down and relaxing, and is known to bring better physical and mental wellbeing.
Candida has also been an entrepreneur (co-founding the community hub, Flo’s – The Place in the Park, and Metro Safety Group and UKNAR CIC) and worked with charities (working in the gender team as policy advisor and trainer for Oxfam for 10 years, and chairing organisations such as Film Oxford, Oxford Urban Wildlife Group and Oxford HR, and on the board of INTRAC) and a freelance consultant and facilitator.
Candida is trained in Executive Coaching, NLP, Move into Life, Systemic Coaching & Constellations, Leadership Development Framework, Group Dynamics and BodyMind Attunement. She has the foundation for Dance Movement Therapy, Group Analysis and Forest Bathing. She is a published editor for books on gender and social relations.
Candida lives in East Oxford, having first moved to Oxford when she was 20.
