I’m originally from Birmingham and have recently moved to Oxford. I was in Florence Park when Kate’s place was hosting her memorial service. It was identified to me and I listened to what this space meant to her and her community. I just had to get involved! While I have no special skills re renovation and horticulture are concerned, I  can ‘show up’ and help in anyway I can. My previous experience lies elsewhere. For the last 30 years I have been a Social Worker, Probation Officer, Youth Offiending Team Officer, I also taught English as a Second Language, was a Qualified Mental Health Specialist in America and when I returned to the UK, I worked as a Prison Custody Officer but I feel its time for a change! Nature has always been very close to my heart  and now I have the time to give something back,  to ensure there are places of solitude and beauty, even in a city or a prison! I look forward to working with you all until that picture (me in California) becomes a reality!
