The Nature Effect is a catalyst for personal, professional and community transformation. We offer continuing professional
development and coaching to people and organisations in education and social change. We also offer retreats, weekend
workshops and on-going groups for people wanting to learn, grow, flourish, reflect and reconnect. We collaborate with
communities, schools and various peer groups.
Our ‘golden thread’ is explicit inspiration from the natural world – through nature metaphor, embodied
learning, time spent in the wilds, use of natural materials and creation of outdoor spaces and events.
We have a rich pool of associates skilled in these areas of work who are always cooking up new ideas, and we like to connect
them with like-minded colleagues, practical resources and methodological tools for effective working. We welcome contact
from potential new associates. We are largely based in Oxford City but our Associates work nationally and internationally.

Earth's Daughters Camp 2018 For women and Girls
We’re delighted to announce the fourth Earth Daughter’s event, which this year takes place again at Shaken Oak Farm, just outside Witney. Women and girls of all ages are welcome. Last year we had a newborn baby and a lady celebrating her 83rd birthday at camp. Please note that this is not a ‘mothers and daughters’ event. All women are welcome, whether or not they have children. Along with the organised activities, some of the most memorable moments of camp have been relationships between people whose lives don’t usually intersect. It’s about reweaving the whole tribe.
Grandpont wins the Nature Effect Lottery success for a great new project
Thanks to a grant for the Big Lottery, the Nature Effect CIC will be working with Grandpont Nursery Centre of Excellence for Early Edcuation and Childcare and build on its long-standing reputation of high quality learning outdoors.
The grant will enable more resources for new ‘Forest Friday’ sessions and provide resources and goody bags for families for 5 Family Nature Explorer trips around the local community – across the year. A secondary aim of the project will be to produce a short film about what local families think about their green spaces – allotments, the river, the park and places like Hogacre Common

After 16 months of dreaming, planning, talking to the local community and working around obstacles to convince the County Council we have a realistic, innovative, sustainable vision for the future of this centre, We are delighted to say that the community-supported bid was agreed by Cabinet on 19th September. Now the work begins to create an open-access and community-owned place for people from all walks of life to come together to eat, play, learn.
