The Nature Effect is a catalyst for personal, professional and community transformation. We offer continuing professional development and coaching to people and organisations in education and social change. We also offer retreats, weekend workshops and on-going groups for people wanting to learn, grow, flourish, reflect and reconnect. We collaborate with communities, schools and various peer groups.
Our ‘golden thread’ is explicit inspiration from the natural world – through nature metaphor, embodied learning, time spent in the wilds, use of natural materials and creation of outdoor spaces and events.
We have a rich pool of associates skilled in these areas of work who are always cooking up new ideas, and we like to connect them with like-minded colleagues, practical resources and methodological tools for effective working. We welcome contact from potential new associates. We are largely based in Oxford City but our Associates work nationally and internationally. Find out more about our work here

Details of the Retreat Women have gathered together for millennia to create ceremony and community. To sow and to reap, to sew and to knit, to cook and to talk, incorporating the daily round into ceremony. We will work through intuition and introspection to allow creative expression to arise through the gathering of women in community, through simple ceremony and creative activities. We will immerse ourselves in the rhythms of the earth’s seasons and the land around us. We will camp, and cook together on an open fire as a community. During the retreat there will be guided meditation that will take place both in stillness and through walking the land. Saturday afternoon through to Sunday evening will be held in silence. You will be supported to find a place on the land to experience time alone in nature as an opening to 'Vision Quest' experience. You can alternatively choose to share this time in silence within the camp. The Retreat will be facilitated by Hilary Kneale and Annie Davy, both experienced facilitators of Vision Quest and nature retreats. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
